SP leader says son held after Delhi encounter innocent

Azamgarh, Sept 19: Samajwadi Party leader and father of suspected militant Mohammad Saif, who was arrested by Delhi Police after an encounter in the national capital on Friday, claimed his son was innocent and demanded a thorough probe before any punishment is meted out to him.

My son is innocent said by Tauqueer's mother and she said that my son is not involved in the serial blast held in dehli.His mother lashed out at the media and said, "Wherever my son is, he is listening and I hope that he comes forward and offers explanation."

Solankar said that Quereshi was estranged from his parents since 2001 and has been estranged even from his wife since the Mumbai train blasts."He is gentle, kind and generous and could never do such a deed," adds Solankar.

At least 20 people died in a multiple bomb attack on Delhi last week.This was happened recently before the iftaar as the Holy Month of Ramazan is going on.The terrorist belive that Indian Mujhadeen were involved in the serial blast of dehli not only this but they are also involved in the blast of Ahmedabad.


On the other, when visiting reporters were heading for Saif's house, villagers gheraoed them for about an hour before they were rescued by police and PAC personnel.
